Well here we are very quickly approaching the end of January and I can see already this year will be gone before we know it. It is a strange time for us as we seem to be busy but when I look back I look back I THINK "WHAT DID WE REALLY DO THIS MONTH" and was it important for the kingdom. It has been a little difficult as we come to the realization here in Russia we will always be a forigner and as a forigner people dont expect us to stay for a long time. This has its dissadvantages as well as it advantages. I think one dissadvantage is that people are afraid to get close to us as we may leave at anytime. In reality I guess it is true as we have applied for a new visa and if we get denied we will probebly leave. So I say this as it is a reality as a forigner living in a strange land. It has however made me realise that in everything we do we need to be intentional about it.

We had a great christmas and although the car froze on us for about a week and a half as the temperatures dipped lose to -40 we didnt get to do much outside. apparently feb is the coldest month so i guess it will warm up soon.

We had a meeting yesterday with someone from a church who works in orphanages. These precious kids are definatly on our hearts and we would love to be able to minister to them. I felt sad though as I listened to him share how the prodestant church has been denied access into orphnanages they had ministering  in for years. Please pray for the doors to be open for the church to continue its amazing ministry into this area. we are invited to become like foster parents to one of the kids from the orphanage so this could be a good avenue for us as a family.
